I bought this antenna last year and installed it on 4 sections of the poles bought from moonraker (20Ft) bolted to the side of my house with k/l brackets and it's withstood every storm since, Point to note get someone to help just took mine down and bent a radial almost fell off my roof ????

After reading other people’s reports on this aerial I decided to buy one.

When it arrived we were very impressed to notice just how well this Sirio 2016 aerial was made. Its aluminium was a lot more thicker/solid and stronger than the other aerials and had better connections and all in all a very solidly made aerial.

We wanted to make it a more permanent and longer lasting structure (once up it’s staying up) so we slid on and heat gun shrunk some manufactured impregnated glued shrink wrap tubing on all the aerials joints. We first slid some smaller glued wrap on the connections then we slid another slice of the larger glued wrap over the smaller piece to ensure no water ingest and a stronger firmer joint connection.

Living on the west side of the Isle of Wight to get 100MPH winds in nothing unusual so please take my word for it when I say it’s worth buying quality over “fashionable” aerials when it comes to home base aerials. For a very strong and well made aerial this Sirio 2016 has much better results in both TX and RX over that of the “fashionable” Imax 200 and Antron 99 models (which I have owned both). It may look large with its 16 ground radials but actually when up on a 20 foot scaffold pole it’s actually not so bad.

Try one and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed. 73.
