I wanted to improve my old antenna a springer, to better distance and performance. I got this antenna, paired with my midland 88 radio, it works great. When we SWR it, we had to trim the aerial about 30-40mm to get from (channel 1,20,40) 2.25 to 2.9, down to 1.2 to 1.5. Reception is great, crystal clear, happy.
