Heavy duty but 'poor' fit.

I bought a pair of these, they arrived promptly and look heavy duty. My only issue is that the fit is 'loose', when fitted together the upper section is not rigid. I assumed incorrectly they would be a tight fit with NO movement. I will have to clamp the sections together before installation.

I received this pole and its walls are defo what was needed! I always go: Safety first ! Don’t think things will do when you know they won’t ! GO FOR THE HEAVY DUTY IF THE JOB NEEDS IT!! The very top pole can be lightweight in most cases, otherwise go heavy duty. If putting brackets on a wall go: ‘K’s’x2 and only 1 ‘T’ if needed use 3 ‘K’s’.

Does the job, mostly.

I purchased these swaged poles to replace a set of narrower poles which were used as a mast for a 2m/70cm yagi antenna. I was very happy with them. However I was offered two separate individual antennas, one for 2m & one for 70cm, the size of which meant that my existing poles would not be ‘man’ enough for the job. Based on my previous experience of the narrower poles I confidently purchased these swaged 50mm set for the new antennas as they are more ‘heavy duty’ and suitable for the job. They are well made, easy to fit & good value too. The only adaption necessary was the need to fix the joints in place as, when I turned the rotator, the torque meant that the poles turned in their joints, meaning the antenna would become out of alignment. Now sorted & very happy!
