The antenna appears well built and is a vast improvement over my scanking discone desktop antenna. The Scan Stick is currently mounted to an old lighting stand to give it some height, but the improvement in reception and reduction of noise is considerable. Would I recommend the antenna? Absolutely.

I have been using one of these on my chimney for over 5 years now and it is still going strong. I've had a number of scanners connected to it, and it has always picked up a good mixture of signals. Has good airband reception, marine, ham, 446 and CB bands also covered well. It receives distant and close signals clearly without the need of a pre-amp. I have nothing negative to say about it, highly recommended. For the price, it's pretty hard to better this.
