Attenuation on Channel 21 474 MHZ

Further to my review dated 26/04/2024. It is now a week after I wrote my review and whilst the 7 MHZ breakthrough issue is resolved, I have discovered that the Moonraker HP Filter is severely attenuating UHF TV signals on Channel 21 (474 MHZ). This means that with the filter in line my next door neighbour cannot receive the main HD TV Channels that are usng the BBC B Multiplexer on 474 MHZ, which is the lowest frequency of the UHF TV Band (474-850 MHZ). An alternative cure is being sought, meantime the Moonraker filter is being left in place as it is effective from 522 MHZ-674 MHZ in preventing the 7 MHZ breakthrough on my neighbours TV.

Stops 7 MHZ TVI on UHF Digital TV next door

This high pass TVI filter is very effective on my problem, it is worth its weight in gold in fact! My next door neighbours 3 year old Panasonic 40" TV started suffering breakthrough from my amateur radio transmitter on 7 MHZ. A home-wound type 31 ferrite ring allowed me to go up from 25 watts to 100 watts without causing the breakthrough but no higher. This inline high pass filter means I can now confidently run 500+ watts rather than the 100 watts I was able to run previously without knocking out audio and video on the lesser UHF TV channels. The problem was not helped due to my neighbours TV aerial being installed in his loft space. The filter was so effective that I intend ordering another.

Good, quality build securely packaged. Easy to install on affected TV receivers. Majority of TVI from 50/144/430 Mhz completely removed however, due to space constraints, the active antenna is only 5 metres away from the indoor tv aerial!
