Good but can be improved
Review by

For the price this is excellent, but just a few comments. The Pre-set scans are useless for the U.K., and CB is F.M. only which should also cover A.M. so it would be a good idea to get rid of the pre-selected scan switch and replace it with a switch reprogrmmed for FM/AM. Airband is good, but should also have 5khz steps as some ground frequencies use an offset e.g could be 120.720MHZ and are neither 25/12.5 nor 8.33KHZ spacing. These things would be nice, but not essential. Sound etc is good. The telescopic aerial supplied is useless, your far better off to use assorted 'rubber duck's i,e, 2m/70cm dual band aerials, or an external.

Great little desktop scanner
Review by

Recently purchased from Moonraker. Delivery was within 24hrs of ordering.
Sounds better than expected of a small radio. Managed to program and save lots of airband frequencies. Also ham bands and c.b. easy to program in. One little negative, which is not an issue, is it lacks a signal strength meter. Overall a very good radio for quality build and price. Highly recommended. Andy ????

80s look but not 80s build nice quality
Review by
Tangobaldy
Be great if this came with software so could program it easily. Or have an option for it to be pre configured at purchase. It seems to pick up less than my handheld 125xlt. I am wondering why a desktop device uses the same or similar speaker as the handheld? I was expecting a nice sound.. not heard anything other than air and. I live in sandy beds. I guess I got to pay extra to buy some software or sit for long time typing manually the frequencies. It's sporting a 80s retro finish but not the quality. It's built nicely. I think it could be a bit heavier and larger. Defiantly could do with a screen upgrade to bring it into today's tech expectation.

Great scanner for the price.

Good scanner overall, some of the pre-set frequencies are not really a lot of good for UK (only my opinion) Good build quality and sound output is good for the size. Instructions could be better as a little vague.
