Second purchase from Moonraker. First was in person at the unit where I dealt with a nice fella (John I think?). This was an online purchase. There are quite mixed reviews about this radio but it seems most are from folk either not reading the description, ie no P25 or trunking, or haven’t got to grips with the learning curve required for these radios.
This is very intuitive to operate compared to say the TRX1 or the SDS100 and offers storage in banks rather like old school scanners.
Some complain the air band gets “overloaded” but I haven’t found this with my set up.
The lack of P25 is of no matter to me since what there is in my area (RAF Molesworth) is encrypted anyway. What it does receive Ive found it to be equally as sensitive as my TRX1 and the SDS100 I’ve just sold.
This was a B stock product which claimed to have a damaged box but upon arrival the damage was so minimal that it could have passed for A grade goods in my opinion.
A great purchase.
