The Yaesu FT-817ND is a compact and versatile transceiver that operates across multiple frequency bands, including HF, 6m, VHF, and UHF. It covers a transmission frequency range of 160-10m, 6m, 2m, and 70cm while receiving frequencies span from 100kHz to 56MHz, 76-154MHz, and 420-470MHz. With a power output of 5W for SSB, CW, and FM modes when powered by a 13.8V external DC source, it also offers lower power options of 2.5W SSB/CW/FM and 1.5W AM when using 9.6V Ni-MH batteries or AA batteries.The FT-817ND supports various operating modes, including USB, LSB, CW, AM, FM, and WFM, and digital modes, such as RTTY and PSK31. Its dual VFOs, split capability, and built-in electronic keyer enhance operational flexibility.
