  • Description:

SEM TRANzMATCH refers to a brand of antenna tuning unit (ATU), also known as a Z-match, made by a company called S.E.M. (which was based in Castletown, Isle of Man). These are vintage, high-quality, link-coupled, manual tuners often used by amateur radio operators to match the impedance of a transmitter to an antenna

Antenna Tuning Unit (ATU): The primary function is to improve the matching between a radio transmitter's output and the antenna system, often resulting in a 1:1 Standing Wave Ratio (SWR).

Z-match design: The "Z-match" name refers to the circuit's ability to match impedance, where the impedance of the antenna and transmission line are "matched" to the transmitter's 50-ohm output.

Wanted an old school S.E.M. TranZmatch and was fortunate Moonraker mis-lablled thjis as "SEN TranZmatch" I suspect, anyway bought it, is in fine condition for it's age - am very happy with both SEM tranzMatch and the excellent service from Moonraker, thank you!
