The VEC-412K All-Purpose Battery Charger Electronic Kit can safely quick charge all types of Ni-Cd and Ni-MH batteries including handheld radios, cell phones, camcorders and lap top computers -- many in less than an hour! Rapid Battery™ technology examines whether your batteries are fully charged and automatically stop charging -- prevent overcharging and prolongs battery life.
NiCds can develop a memory effect that makes your batteries appear to be nearly dead or have a shortened battery life. Vectronics "discharge before charge" function can be used to recondition your batteries to nearly normal operation by fully discharging them first or remove the memory effect and then fully recharging your batteries.
The VEC-412K can handle 1 to 12 cells. It has a charging status LED to let you know what the status of your batteries are. The kit runs on 12 - 15 Volts DC and measures 7 x 6 x 6½ inches.
