Faulty Unit...

After only a week , the controller direction pointer started to behave erratically, stuttering, etc.
I returned it to Moonraker for repair, but it was 'lost' in the warehouse for a fortnight. After it was found, it was returned as "no fault found".
The rotator wasn't fixed and the condition got worse.
I spoke to Yaesu UK, whom advised me to send it to them, to be fixed under warranty. The engineer said it sounded like the feedback potentiometer inside the motor housing was defective. It's being repaired by Yaesu UK, just now.
No excessive antenna load was applied, just a lightweight 10m Moxon on a short, lightweight alloy pole.

Good little rotator

I was suprised at the high quality of the rotator I hooked it up and gave it a checkout, it was smooth and quiet all the hardware was there nothing missing, I hope to get up and in place with a 10 element 2m yagi.

G450c Yaesu Rotator

Rotator arrived along with a 25m control cable well packed. Set up the rotator calibrated to north ready for installation in the coming weeks. Very pleased with the quality instructions easy to follow regarding the calibration process. Be aware if pole mounting you will require other parts (mounting Boss).
