Note:The MEK-5 provides two 6-pin modular plugs which allows simultaneous connection of 2 different microphones. The length of the extension cable is 3 meters (9.8 Feet).

From a FT710 to a m70d

Needed the extension line so I could connect the m70d because the curly lead wasn't long enough with the way I have things setup. The adapter caused a bit of confusion to start with but I got it in the end (I didn't need to use it). All good and I have had no comments on audio quality

This is a useful accessory for mobile use

I have another accessory that provides me with a gooseneck mic and a PTT that fits on the gear stick.
As I have the FTM300, this needs the mic connecting straight to the body rather than the head unit.
This extension kit is perfect for the job as I have a landy, so can now easily run the cable and the benefit is I can have both the fist mic and gooseneck connected at the same time if I wish.
