I use this as it keeps the transmitter away from my own CPU and also enables me to set the radio up higher which can make all the difference with 2m. I've found that lifting the antenna up around four feet can make a troublesome QSO possible.
The audio from the speaker is good quality too.
Operating the radio is much easier with the speaker-microphone. You can have the radio in your pocket or backpack and just hold the mic.
