Windows 11 compatible

My old cable is only compatible with Windows 10 and therefore, I bought the SCU-59 to use with my new Windows 11 laptop. It works great. There was no need to download and install a driver as the cable worked immediately. I program my Yaesu FT-4 using CHIRP, which is a free download. All good.

I was pleasantly surprised at the price of this cable.
It worked out of the bag with the FT-65 and FT-4XE with chirp on Linux.
Neather of these radios are difficult to program manually but with this cable I had them up and running with my local repeaters and preferred config in about ten minutes each.
Definitely worth the money.

Worked fine first time

This cable worked fine first time with Windows 11 and an FT-4XE - does the job and saved me a lot of memory programming headache. If your PC already has a Win 11 driver for a Yaesu cable - I did for the FTM-300 cable - it’ll just work. Wish the Yaesu free programming software was any good. It isn’t. Guess that’s why it’s free. But you can make it work. And there’s always CHIRP.
