Yaesu SSM-64A Headsets are straight single-pin VOX headsets that replace the discontinued Yaesu VC-24. These lightweight and convenient headsets work with Yaesu' s VX-170, FT-270R, FT-277R, VX-177, VX-6R and VX-7R transceivers. These headsets are easily switched from conventional PTT push-to-talk mode to VOX operation. VOX sensitivity is electronically adjustable between2 mV RMS and 10 mV RMS to allow for convenient microphone placement. Their threaded single-pin connector plugs in to the transceiver's MIC/SP jack and holds the cable securely in place.
