The Ampro range (especially the higher frequency models) are simply excellent when out mobile. Easy to deploy, and very well priced. I really enjoy working portable, so putting these in the boot is so simple and when combined with the Moonraker heavy duty magnetic base they are amazing.

Have a selection of these for 10, 17, 20 and 40 when I am out and about - usually with POTA. You can do surprisingly well with them on a mag mount on the car - really easy to tune to your favourite part of the band. Thoroughly recommend them.

I recently added this Ampro-10 to my growing collection of these Ampro mobile antennas. It is well built and was delivered very quickly again. VSWR tuning was very easy, in fact I didn't need to change the antenna length from it's as-delivered configuration.
It is pretty much 1:1VSWR at 28.074 on my triple magmount. Moving up into the SSB portion the VSWR rises to around 1.5:1 at 28.300, and 1.7:1 at 28.490 without any adjustments. I have used it across the band with no additional tuning and it works very well. Lots of DX already, including North + South America, Asia, Australia and plenty of contacts into Europe. When the band is open, this antenna seems to work very well indeed and compares well with my tuned dipole; this is so much easier to deploy though and will be my go-to antenna for 10m now. I'm very pleased with this antenna - definitely recommended.

After waiting for them to come into stock tried it out today and band conditions were good with 40w into Qatar and Saudi Arabia, easy to set up and quick sure not perfect but we’ll worth the money.
