Yaesu Ft-6000
Review by

Top quality basic functionality radio with excellent built qualities the sound from the speaker is brilliant and the mounting bracket are a breeze to disconnect the radio.
I run in the car with a diamond aerial on a mag mount and have made some decent contacts with great audio reports, the radio fan is not to loud when it kicks in but you do notice it apart from this is a cracking basic radio with air band which is nice to have.

Bought as a basic 2m/70cm shack radio. Quality is very high as you would expect from Yaesu, from manufacturing to function. Easy to navigate menus and a solid build. If you are looking for a no nonsense V/UHF transceiver look no further.

Well made Radio. Easy to program.
Review by

This is a heavy and well made radio. Clear large bright display. Came well packed in box.
Easy to set up, was up and running on my local repeater within half of it being delivered. Comes with programming cable and extension leed to connect radio to head unit. Spare fuses and heavy duty DC cable.
Cons: doesn't come with extension cable to connect microphone to main body. Fan is very loud, although it's triggered by a heat sensor.
A good entry level for the new amateur or somebody who doesn't want digital.

GREAT RADIO.
Review by
Alan
I have just purchased this radio, and I must say the build quality is excellent, also one of the easiest radios I have programmed manually, and what I think is a great feature is the slide and lock mounting bracket no fussing about holding it in the bracket with screws. The one and the only complaint I have is the power outputs go from 5wts straight to 25wts then up to 50wts I wish YAESU had put a 10wt option into the radio for the foundation licence holders. Still worth the money.
