This is a really nice sounding radio, receive is very good. menu's take a little understanding, but not bad, was hearing some 10m repeaters coming thru, fan install quite simple . (it can also have a Mod to use 11m UK40 . with full frequency readout but ??. ). love the green display best . audio reports are saying nice clear audio, and loud. only grip and its small Frequency read out is small but small price to pay for such a nice rig ,would I recommend buying yes.

I bought this radio especially for 10/11 metre band use, comes very well packaged in a nice well laid out box. And delivery from moonraker is very quick and hassle free. I have had a few contacts on the radio and the audio reports I have got are very good clean audio both in tx and rx. Radio is easy to use and operate. If you a fan of echo that works every and can be adjusted to your liking. President could have provided better Roger bleeps you get a choice of 6 but there not very good sounds could have put some old school k tones or hygain or maybe cobra style bleeps instead. But overall a very good radio , very impressed and build quality is also very good.

Run this radio mobile. Mostly SSB (11m).

As far as CB radios go this is pretty good. But it’s not a ham radio. Whilst it performs well on the ham bands that it covers, you have to be aware that your using ‘channel change’ mentality and not a VFO. In other words, you ‘click’ through the frequencies, not spin. For some that might be an issue.

Personally, I quite like it as an 11m transceiver. I get good audio reports all the time on the stock microphone, inbound audio is OK, tone tweak-able, not the best, but acceptable. It is also a fairly simple to drive radio.

Bad points. Not able to set step to 5 khz. Which does my nut in to be honest. I’d really like to have stepped through the 11m frequencies on the 5s and 0s. But, alas, just not possible. You can step through in 1khz (closest) using the span option in the menu settings, or by typical (11m) channel allocations. Just not in 5 khz steps. Grrr.
