Got over 1000 miles on 5w, first time out on 20m. Stunned. Granted that was the exception rather than the rule that night, but all the same. You can't deny it works. Bit fiddly changing bands but it doesn't exactly take long. Also tunable to 2m/70cm even tho that's not advertised - wire from 1 - 9 and whip length 75cm - 40 miles 5/9 on 5w, 2m FM. Nice one. Sometimes find the outer plastic turns a bit over the inner, also sometimes the wrong bits want to unscrew when you're changing magmount, but that's also a feature as you can use a magmount with the other type of thread. Also mine has a tiny bit of play where the whip screws in, but doesn't seem to affect anything.

Not sure yet. Seems to work as it should but only had it up outside the flat only 1m of the ground! the only fault I could say is the bottom section is a little loose, were chrome section meets the coil section) Ive put some heat shrink around it to stabilise it non destructively. We will see in the better weather when I can get up a local hill or two.

got this antenna to do some mobile work and POTA
tested it on a basic groundplane at home to get the basics of how it works then took it out in the car
got to the POTA location I had chosen set up the antenna on mag mount and pre-adjusted it for 10m FT4 operation, got a good match and over 30 minutes got 6 good FT4 DX QSO's in the log including several in US and Canada
following day went to same location bands were not as good so worked 15m another 10 QSO's in the log 6 good US / South America and rest were EU
bearing in mind this was with a Xiegu X6100 running only 5 Watts so I think that a great test and showed what this little antenna can do even at such low powers

SPX-300S 9 Band Plug N Go HF Mobile

A very well put together mobile antenna can either be So239 mounted or 3/8 stud if you unscrew the end off , comes with 2 whips easy to adjust and gets you on the bands very quickly although the bandwith is limited , but used with an atu will tune most of the bands , i use mine on a tripod/light stand with a modified mirror mount bracket i got cheap off ebay , connect a ground wire and its good to go , works very well , better than thos atx walkabout telescopic antennas , i use mine with a yaesu ft-818

2E1GZQ My one arrived with missing screw rod section did not fit very well.
Find it has a very low band with over selection of band using wire link with banana plug.
I don't think this will last long with mobile use on car if driving.
Model I have is SPX-200
3.80 Mhz 7.60 Mhz 16.10 Mhz 18.10 Mhz 33.40 Mhz 49.50 Mhz
Why have it tuned for 49.50 Mhz for the 6 Meter band
over all I give 7 out of 10 I would say this will be ok to take on fishing trip or caravan
Used this on my FT 897D
Not had a SPX 300 may get hold of one an test
Over all rod section Extention tube needs to be stronger were attaches to coil section
