Moonraker have worked with Whistler to customise a UK band plan for the scanners! This ensures the radios cover UK bands in the correct steps and the correct mode. When a user does a service scan it will search in the correct steps for the selected band ensuring maximum received stations.

The radios will receive both amateur and commercial DMR transmissions as apart from the frequency they are fundamentally the same mode. The radio is supplied with software and users can select mode when writing memories or select auto and it will work out the mode itself!

This multi-system adaptive digital trunking scanner supports Motorola P25 Phase I, X2-TDMA, Phase II and DMR making it capable of monitoring the following unencrypted channels/systems:

very hard to get to grips with compared to the old scanners, but stick with it as they are a great peice of kit, do a lot of reading ie, the manual or all the help on the net, and there is plenty, and you will get there in the end, very sensitive and good audio out,

its packed with allsorts of radio bands ...im new to the scanning world ..but its not that bad to start scanning out of the box to be fair if its pre set with your country ....i just meed a good outdoor erial as im in uk

I recently got back into listening and found that there was very little on the FM mode, Many companies had gone to digital, I saw this along with the Uniden but price made me take the Whistler, And i'm glad i did, It seems a little daunting to begin with as the controls are nothing like the standard realistic type scanners i was used to, but looking at a few youtube videos and also the fantastic help from Whistler, I was on my way, Finding frequencies can be a chore, I did find a few sites with listings and although one site charges for access I found many frequencies out of date, Not to knock it though as some were fine, A few days of scanning through the bands and i had accumulated over 2500 channels to listen to, the scan lists that come on the memory card are a good starting point, After about a week I can get round the scanner with most if not all sections and menu's, I find it quite sensitive and a close signal can cause a bit of interference, It may seem a lot of money to outlay for a scanner but I found it worth while for such a quality product, Just persevere, It's easy to just jack it in, but push on and you will get there.

A very capable scanner although not the easiest to set up initially, stick with it and you will get the hang of it. Seems to be pretty sensitive in the UHF bands and compares well with my SDR reciever. All in all a great product, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for!

a great scanner, once you get your head round programming, function 0 is your friend when you are not sure what mode your are picking up :)

a great digital scanner, search,s all work well. is very good on batterys and very sensitive, not the easiest to program but when you grasp it, it all makes sense. very compact. IF output for decoding works well. Can be programmed by supplied software and always keep a back up of your memory card. Searches work well.
