Good antenna

Prompt delivery, already assembled, seems well made. I've only tried it inside on a metal base; further testing to be done outside, if we ever get a spell of dry weather. It has improved some signals especially Airband. Unfortunately, it has shown up the Airband shortcomings in my radio, a UV5RH.

I use the Skyscan Mobile antenna with my Uniden 125XLT-C handheld scanner, and it has made a noticeable difference.
Pros:
Wideband coverage: 25–2000 MHz means I can pick up airband, CB, PMR, taxi radios, and local VHF/UHF traffic.
Better reception than stock whip: I’m now catching signals that were weak or barely audible before.
Easy setup: Magnetic base sticks securely to my car roof or metal surface, no tools needed.
Portable: Can move it indoors or outdoors without hassle.
Cons:
Performance depends on metal surface: Works best on a good ground plane; indoors on wood or plastic, it’s weaker.
RG58 cable: Not the lowest-loss, so very high-frequency signals aren’t as strong as with premium coax.
Overall:
For a handheld scanner like the 125XLT-C, this is a solid upgrade, giving a clear boost in signal strength across a wide range of frequencies. Not as strong as a dedicated outdoor discone or longwire, but excellent for mobile or temporary setups.

Excellently priced signal grabber

Purchased through Amzn (sry) although when it arrived I was pleased to see it was dispatched from Moonraker and packaged by a puppy, my Sproker approves.
The antenna adds immediate noticeable gains using my Uniden UBC125 (also from you guys).
I will be trying it with a hydraSDR RFOne in the next week using Dragon OS, I’m confident it’ll perform well.
It also looks kinda badass, Dr Emmett Brown would be impressed.

Sucking in the signals
Review by
Cleverbob
A heavy base gives confidence of sturdy construction. Pulled in many more signals on my UBC125xl than usual, especially airband, ham 70cm. and PMR.

A Brilliant Reciever Antenna
Review by
Michael
This antenna has exceeded my expectations in strength and performance. Installation was straightforward, and I found a suitable location for it on top of my radiator in my bedroom which acts as a suitable ground plane. Airband reception is remarkably clear and consistent with this setup. I am very satisfied with the enhanced clarity I have experienced. The overall quality of the signal has significantly improved clear as a bell. It really does pull in lots of frequencies very well. As long as you have a good grounding like your radiator or car roof its absolutely flawless a must buy for any serious listener.
