Icom have recently launched the IC-T10. The IC-T10 is a rugged and easy-to-use dual-band HT.
The Icom IC-T10 transmits with up to 5 watts in the 144 MHz (VHF) and 440 MHz (UHF) band. This is a great handheld transceiver for those new to the hobby but would also be a great second device for those more experienced in the hobby who want a robust and reliable dual band for outdoor use.
It has powerful 1500 mW speaker which give excellent audio. The housing is water and dust resistant. It has a IP67 rating which means it can survive up to 30 minutes in a water depth of one meter without damage.
It has an easy-to-read LC display, and the keys are illuminated.
The IC-T10 has DCS/CTCSS and supports DTMF. There are 16 DTMF memories available. Frequently used frequencies can be stored in a total of 208 memory channels and named with 6 alphanumeric digits.
With the built-in FM broadcast receiver (76 - 108 MHz), the regional radio stations can be received.
A great feature is the FREE software that is available from Icom that will enable you to programme the IC-T10 on your computer.
