RigExpert Stick Pro Antenna Analyser – Product Review

At Moonraker, we're committed to providing only the best products for our customers. That's why in-depth reviews are part of our process! In this review, we'll be taking you through the RigExpert Stick Pro Antenna Analyser

It's a portable antenna analyser and cable vector that allows you to measure parameters of cables, antennas, lines, and filters within the region of 100 kilohertz to 600 megahertz. Interested? Then let's jump in!

What's in the Box?

The first thing you'll find is the N-type to SO-239 adapter, allowing you to connect your PL-259 terminated feeders. You'll also find a high-quality braided USB cable that is both durable and efficient, a neck strap for convenient portable use, and a coloured sheet with all the instructions you need to get set up. This makes it perfect for beginners and experienced amateur radio enthusiasts alike.

And the feel? The Stick Pro itself feels incredibly durable. It's made from high-quality plastic and it's solid right from the start, with a professional appearance that all amateur radio enthusiasts will appreciate. The front interface features six control buttons, all ideally located for easy use, with a full-colour LCD towards the top of the device.

The N-type connection is covered by a removal rubber topping to keep it sufficiently protected. This is where you would connect your antenna. The underside of the Stick Pro is where you'll find the neck strap attachment area, maximising the potential for portable use. This is also where you'll find the USB C-port for connecting to your computer or charging purposes. Much like the N-type connection, this USB port features a protective rubber covering.

Key Features

One of the first standout features you'll notice about the RigExpert StickPro is its significantly bright LCD. It's easy to read and makes understanding your device incredibly simple. Once you're up and running, the StickPro allows for a single frequency selection or the option to use the pre-programmed hand bands.

The multi-feature scan will pick up on hand bands from HF up to 70 centimetres, with a provided star rating to indicate strength. This makes knowing whether to extend or shorten your antenna an incredibly easy decision. The internal 3.7 volt 18650 lithium-ion battery gives you all the power you need to use your Stickpro just about anywhere, including at home or out in the field. No matter where you're heading, this device has you covered.

There is also 4.2 Bluetooth BLE support featured and free compatible apps available for both Android and iOS. This makes the antenna accessible at all times, even if you aren't at the end of the feeder. Just open the app on your smartphone to make all the necessary adjustments! All in all, this device has a lot to offer.
